Eldoret Falcons hosts Wadadia in KWPL

Eldoret Falcons will be seeking revenge against their Wadadia fc in the Football Kenya Federation Women Premier League (KWPL) to be staged at Kipchoge Keino stadium, Eldoret.

Last year, Wadadia scored 4-0 against their hosts at Eldoret Polytechnic Ground but this season, as the hosts will be targeting a win in the race for top honours.

In the last event, Eldoret based team was awarded a walk over against Nyamira Starlets in their opening match before going down 1-2 to Bulemia.

The Joshua Ariko led charges however will full of confidence ahead of the match at their home turf.

Ariko confirmed that the current squad is better than last year and there target is perform well during our trainings and previous matches,” Ariko said.

“This season we decided to have a residential training camp and that has boosted our morale and skills,” He added.

However he cited financial constraint as the main challenge in the team’s training.

“We rely on well-wishers because we have to pay rent and cater for daily needs of our players. This is the only team in Eldoret playing the premier league after the Rivatex and KCC faded and we are proud of our girls,” He added.

Currently Vihiga Queens are topping the FKF Women Zone B standings with 6 points followed by Oserian Wadadia with the same points while Eldoret is ranked fourth with 3 points.

“I want to urge everybody to flock the stadium on Saturday so that we cheer our team. We need moral support in order to emerge victorious,” Ariko said.
