MOSCA picks a point against GFE 105 in Eldoret

Global Field Evangelism (GFE) 195 failed to dominate at home against bottom side Ministry of Sports, Culture and Arts (MOSCA) in the National Super League (NSL) match played at Kipchoge Keino stadium in Eldoret.

It was sweet for MOSCA who are bottom on the table to pick a point from their hosts who had many scoring chances as they played to a barren draw.

The missed chances angered MOSCA coach Kiseo Kariuki who said they had what it takes to win the match.

“We had many scoring chances against our hosts. But we have come from far and collecting a point in Eldoret is good for us,” said Kariuki.

He added that traveling all the way from Nairobi and drawing to the best team was fine for them.

With GFE 105 losing many of home matches, it is their third match to draw at home without scoring a goal that frustrated home fans who kept on cheering each time the players reached their opponents box but failing to convert the numerous scoring chances.

The first chance came in 3rd minute into the match for the hosts but Boniface Mukhekhe’s shot hit the cross bar after beating MOSCA’s keeper Kelvin Mwangama.

The match remained balanced with each side trying to outdo their opponents until the first half whistle.

On return, Francis Nyambute failed to score from a free header after beating GFE 105’s keeper Samuel Kamunya from Titi Oleso’s cross.

Alex Kemboi with his right foot shot on target was well saved by Mwangama on 60th minute. On 70 minute, Geoffrey Akwala’s shot was saved by Mwangana again as hosts dominated the match.

Richard Bonge fouled  Ely Otieno on the edge of the box as Hezron Otieno stepped in to take the shot that was saved by Mwangana for a corner kick.

Open scoring chance came in 89th minute when Mukhekhe remained with a one on one with Mwangama but his shot was well saved.
