Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards have moved their Mashemeji Derby to Tanzania when they face each other at the inaugural Sportpesa Super Cup finals match to be played at Uhuru Stadium.
On Thursday, the two Kenya Premier League side won their semifinal matches played at the same field when they face each other in an all Kenyan affair.
Ingwe was the first Kenyan side to qualify into the final match after edging out Tanzania champions Yanga SC in semifinal one while K’Ogalo won against fellow Kenyan side Nakuru All Stars which plays at the National Super League NSL side.
Leopards beat Yanga SC in post-match penalties after a barren draw in normal time while Gor Mahia edged out Nakuru All Stars 2-0.
Leopards keeper Ivan Otieno was the star attraction the East African Community country when he saved two penalties and once he face his counterpart he beat him as he netted the winner.
Meddie Kagere scored his third goal in the competition when he netted 46th minute of the first half to give the KPL side against NSL. George Odhiambo sealed the victory for K’ogallo in 83rd minute to outdo Nakuru based side.
