Fresh from playing Sportpesa Super Cup final match in Tanzania, AFC Leopards and Gor Mahia will be in action this weekend in the Kenya Premier League (KPL) after three weeks of rest.
With nations team losing out to Sierra Leone in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, players will be busy with their clubs to try to consolidate points in the second half of the KPL.
Super Cup finalists AFC Leopards will be the first team in the field against former champions Mathare United at Nyayo National stadium while Gor Mahia without a coach, the champions will face off with 2009 champions Sofapaka at Meru’s Kinoru stadium.
With a new coach Dorian Marian Ingwe, the team looks fresh and will be taking on Mathare with Romanian international in-charge as he seeks to redeem his side after watching the team lose to arch rivals K’Ogalo in the Sportpesa Super Cup finals.
